‘Vegas The Show’ Will Be Launched This Summer In The Embassy Theatre At The Las Vegas Rocks Cafe
Show producer and entertainer Tony Sacca plans to open his “Vegas The Show” as an afternoon program this summer with an optional lunch offer at the Las Vegas Rocks Café downtown in the Embassy Theatre. “Vegas The Show” – A Story In Song is a music, comedy and multimedia journey through the history of Las Vegas. It starts from the 1930s, progresses to the present day, and includes a look into the future of Las Vegas in the year 2050.
“Vegas The Show” stars a cast of five: singer, entertainer and television personality Tony Sacca; comic impressionist Tom Wallek; and “Vegas The Show-Girls”- principal singer/dancer of “Jubilee!” – Laurie Caceres, and singers/dancers Nellie Norris and Amanda Kaiser.
Wallek humorously narrates the show and portrays famous characters from the past and present while he guides the audience through the history of Las Vegas while presenting 75-years of video…decade by decade. The ladies in the show portray famous Las Vegas entertainers from the past and present.
The show consists of songs made famous by legendary Las Vegas headliners as well as five original Las Vegas songs. Grammy Award winner Gary Anderson was the orchestrator and arranger, who skillfully maintained the integrity of the original music.
“Vegas The Show” made its debut at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in 2005 and has been entertaining audiences with its historical content.
It was presented again at the Starbright Theater in Summerlin on May 18, 2006. Because of the program’s educational and entertainment value, the Las Vegas Clark County Library District premiered “Vegas The Show” to the community on Saturday, May 10, 2007, at 2 p.m. in the Summerlin Library. The mutli-media presentation garnered a standing ovation form library officials and the community. On Sunday, July 6, 2008 at 4 p.m., “Vegas The Show” was performed in the main showroom at the Plaza Hotel and Casino in downtown Las Vegas and again received great reviews.
Producer and creator Tony Sacca explains, “I have always been intrigued by the history of Las Vegas and what its historical foundation is all about. I’ve lived and performed here since 1981 and interviewed and known many of the valley’s pioneers. The outcome has been ‘Vegas The Show’ followed by the creation of the Las Vegas Rocks Café.”
The Las Vegas Rocks Café is located downtown at Neonopolis, 450 Fremont Street. There’s easy access free validation parking on Fourth Street between Fremont Street and Ogden in the underground Neonopolis Parking Garage. For information, call 702-227-5872 (LVRC).
