Mac King To Perform Special Benefit Show For The Girl Scouts Of Southern Nevada

For one night only, comedy-magician and “Campfire Magic” author Mac King will perform a special show to benefit the Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada. Proceeds from ticket sales will help send girls to Camp Foxtail for a summer camp adventure. The special performance will take place on Saturday, July 24 at 5 p.m. at the Sheldon and Miriam Adelson Educational Campus. Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased at Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada, 2941 Harris Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89101 Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. or on-line at www.girlscoutsnv.org.

“Every kid deserves the chance to get away for the summer,” said King. “Camping is a magical experience and I am happy to help provide the opportunity for some city kids to make new friends and enjoy the magic and wonder of nature for a little while.”

King, who headlines afternoons at Harrah’s Las Vegas, will perform a number of his signature magic tricks from his stage show and his book, “Campfire Magic.” Additionally, King will hold a book signing after the event where audience members can meet with the author and purchase their own copy of “Mac King’s Campfire Magic.”

“Hopefully after the show some of the Girl Scouts will be able to perform their own Campfire Magic for their friends at Camp Foxtail,” King added.

Camp Foxtail provides a safe and fun camping environment for all girls between the ages of 7-17. Through camp activities such as horseback riding, hiking, campfire cookouts, crafts, and mountain biking, girls learn independence and leadership all while making memories that will last a lifetime.
