Let The Bier Games Begin!! Hofbrauhaus Las Vegas Begins Weekly Stein Holding Contest
Winner will qualify for 2nd annual US Championship
WHO: Hofbrauhaus Las Vegas is the first German/Bavarian beer hall and restaurant in Las Vegas. This faithful reproduction of the world’s most famous beer hall, the original, centuries-old Hofbrauhaus in Munich, Germany, is an authentic and entertaining blend of tradition and fun.
WHAT: Hofbrauhaus Las Vegas holds a Stein Holding Contest every weekend hosted by their MC Johann. For the second time they have been selected as regional qualification headquarters to participate in the Masskrugstemmen U.S. Championship. Each participant is asked to stand in a line facing the crowd and raise their 1.0L stein (weighing about 5 pounds when full!) parallel with their shoulder blades for as long as possible.
On August 14, whoever holds the record time will win a trip to New York to represent Hofbrauhaus Las Vegas in the 2nd annual U.S. Championship. The winner of the championship will be named “U.S. Champion in Masskrugstemmen” and will receive a trip for two to Munich, Germany, to visit the original Hofbrauhaus. Current record is 11 minutes 49 seconds
