Harrah’s Entertainment Las Vegas Resorts Kick Off Basketball Madness With Citywide Entertainment Offerings – Las Vegas Destinations Feature a Variety of Meet-and-Greets, Signings, Viewings and “Hoops with the Stars” Hosted by Flamingo Headliner George Wallace to Celebrate NCAA Games

Harrah’s Entertainment Las Vegas resorts welcome locals and tourists alike to attend several prime basketball experiences at its renown resorts including Planet Hollywood, Flamingo Las Vegas and O’sheas. Sports legends James “Big Game James” Worthy and Clyde “The Glide” Drexler will sign autographs, host meet-and-greets with fans and tip off an intense game of “Hoops with the Stars” with ten lucky winners. The public is invited to view the basketball challenge, hosted by Flamingo headliner George Wallace.

Thursday, March 18 – Sunday, March 21:

8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Planet Hollywood – The mezzanine level will host eight big screen TVs and numerous plasma TVs for the ultimate viewing party, open to the general public with no cover charge. Satellite sports betting stations will be available as well as live blackjack tables. Stadium-style food will be available for purchase including hot dogs, pretzels and nachos.

Saturday, March 20:

1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Planet Hollywood – Former NBA stars Worthy and Drexler will be available on the Mezzanine level of Planet Hollywood to sign autographs for a slew of lucky fans.

2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Flamingo Las Vegas – The showroom entrance at the Flamingo will host Worthy and Drexler as they meet and greet basketball enthusiasts.

4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
O’sheas – The public is invited to experience “Hoops with the Stars,” at O’sheas hosted by comedian George Wallace. The funnyman will draw the names of ten lucky winners who will receive the opportunity of a lifetime and play ball with basketball legends. Worthy and Drexler will each captain a team of five players and tip off “Hoops with the Stars.” Each team member will be allowed five shots from the mark of their choice on the court. Each mark has a pre-determined number of points and the team with the most points at the end of the challenge will win. The winning team members will each receive $500 cash and $500 in Reel Rewards. The crowd is sure to enjoy the festivities as Wallace and a DJ keep the atmosphere alive with music and entertainment.

To qualify for “Hoops with the Stars” guests may sign up for a Player’s card at any of the Harrah’s Entertainment resorts and receive one drawing ticket. Pre-existing card-holders may qualify by earning 50 base Reward Credits at any Harrah’s property in one day to receive one drawing ticket. Only one additional ticket is issued per day, per property.

Members may deposit their tickets from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the drawing drum at the “Hoops with the Stars” challenge to be entered to win a place on Drexler or Worthy’s team. Contestants must be present to win.
