First Food & Bar Las Vegas Hosts 2nd Annual Shuck & Swallow Charity Event
Hosted by X1075′s Dave & Mahoney Morning Show, event features the city’s best chefs raising money for Three Square Food Bank
WHO: FIRST Food & Bar inside The Shoppes at The Palazzo and chefs from across the Vegas valley. Last year’s participants included FIRST Food & Bar, SushiSamba, Fiamma, Aquaknox, Andres, SeaBlue and many others. This year’s participants will be announced closer to the event.
The event will see the return of X1075′s Dave and Mahoney Morning Show as emcees.
WHAT: FIRST is hosting the second annual Shuck & Swallow event – a charity event that finds Vegas’ top chefs in a battle to see who can shuck and swallow the most oysters within 10 minutes. The winner will receive a Shuck & Swallow trophy…and of course bragging rights.
Last year’s winners, FIRST Food & Bar will be on hand to support and encourage. Chef Rob Ryan ate 94 oysters in 10 minutes.
WHEN: Tuesday, August 31, 2010
* 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Pre party begins. Themed appetizers will be passed to guests; donations to the charity are encouraged.
* 4:00 p.m. – Competition begins
* 4:40 p.m. – Winner is announced and the trophy is awarded
* 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – After party at FIRST Food & Bar. Themed appetizers will be passed to guests; donations to the charity are encouraged. The after party will feature drink specials with proceeds benefiting Three Square Food Bank.
