Erik Estrada And The Half Pint Brawlers Host 2nd Annual ‘Chip & Salsa’ Cinco De Mayo Fiesta – Midgets, Margaritas And More On Thursday, May 5
Dust off your sombreros and throw on your wrestling mask, it’s that time of year again. Back by popular demand, Tacos & Tequila is gearing up for its second annual ‘CHiP and Salsa’ Cinco de Mayo fiesta with former “CHiPs” star Erik Estrada, sizzling food and drink specials and special little guests, the Half Pint Brawlers.
The Half Pint Brawlers, a midget owned and operated wrestling group, are best known for the hysterical bar scene in Jackass 3D and are guaranteed to show Cinco de Mayo patrons how to party hardy. The mayhem will begin Thursday, May 5, at 11 a.m. with $5 shots of Jose Cuervo Tradicional, $5 Dos Equis and a special Cinco de Mayo menu including sizzling habanero wings, quesadillas and floutas.
In addition, Estrada and the Half Pint Brawlers will host T&T’s “How Low Can You Go” limbo contest, where daring revelers can compete with the feisty midgets in the loco limbo contest and chance to win crazy Cinco cocktails and no T&T fiesta would be complete without a photo booth contest.
Tacos & Tequila embodies the cool modernism of Mexico City while incorporating traditional elements of Mexican style and high-end Las Vegas panache. The color mixture of old and new creates a vivid picture of brushed aluminum, dark wood, leather, bright fabrics and colored glass. The focal point of T&T’s design is its abstract sombrero composed of 20 brushed-aluminum panels featuring thousands of laser-cut images, including two 30-foot dancing, tequila-drinking skeletons. Lit from within, the breathtaking panels stretch across the entire length of the restaurant floor and across the common area, connecting the T&T retail store and walk-up daiquiri bar.
The highly-stylized Mexican restaurant and bar with a fun, high-energy vibe and flavorful menu is located at Luxor Hotel and Casino, open daily from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. The 8,000-square-foot venue embodies Mexican culture intermixed with rock-n-roll flair with a flavorful menu created for Drive This Entertainment! by the talents of world-renowned restaurateur and chef, Richard Sandoval.
