45th Annual Southern Nevada Sons Of Erin St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival To Be Held March 17-20 – Henderson To Celebrate Irish Heritage With Parade, Festival & Carnival
The City of Henderson will host the 45th annual Southern Nevada Sons of Erin St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival, March 17-20 at the Henderson Events Plaza, 200 S. Water Street, in the Water Street District. The family-friendly event will include a parade, carnival, entertainment, car show and more. Admission is complimentary (*Some activities may require paid admission).
The parade will be held Saturday, March 19 at 10 a.m. Over 100 parade entries, including festive floats, Celtic dancers, bagpipers and marching bands, will travel the mile-long route on Water Street, beginning at Ocean Avenue and ending at Victory Road. This year’s theme is “Shamrocks & Shillelaghs”. All entries will have a chance to win trophies in four categories: Best of Theme, Prettiest, Greenest and Most Original. Deadline for entries is February 12.
The event will also feature a carnival with a variety of midway games and rides, as well as a festival with two stages of entertainment, food, beverages and souvenirs. Additionally, the car show returns for its second year. Attendees will have the opportunity to view an assortment of classic vehicles, hot rods and motorcycles displayed within the Water Street District, from Basic Road to Atomic Street.

Henderson has hosted the Southern Nevada Sons of Erin St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival for the past seven years, producing record attendance numbers, reaching over 51,000 in 2010.
A portion of this year’s event will benefit the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising money for childhood cancer research.
