Vamp’d is kicking off summer with a new lunch and dinner menu featuring authentic Italian dishes and mouthwatering pizza from famed restaurateur Joe D’Amore and family.
For more than 23 years the D’Amore family imported water from Boston, MA to create authentic dough for their award-winning pizza at restaurants along the California coast. The commitment to serving the perfect pizza didn’t stop there. In 2006 Joe traveled throughout Italy and was so impressed by the crunchy, buttery taste of the crust in local pizzerias that he decided to start importing water internationally.
The classics enjoyed for years at the D’Amore dinner table inspired a menu full of authentic Italian dishes which Las Vegas residents and tourists alike can now enjoy as well. Guests can choose from a variety of homemade specialty pizzas including signature favorites such as the Quattro Colori served with Buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil leaves, Heirloom tomatoes and prosciutto; the D’Amore BBQ chicken pizza with marinated chicken breast, red Bermuda onion, mozzarella cheese topped with fresh cilantro; the Pizza Blanco served without tomato sauce but combining fresh spinach and onion sautéed in olive oil and garlic then topped with roasted red peppers and cheeses; and many more.
The new menu items also include classic starters such as garlic knots served with the family’s secret recipe marinara sauce, Buffalo wings, chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, sliders and more. For those wanting a lighter meal, fresh salads including a Caprese served with fresh whole milk mozzarella, vine-ripened tomatoes and fresh basil then drizzled with an olive oil and balsamic reduction; and an Italian meatless salad with mixed greens, mozzarella, garbanzo and kidney beans, vine-ripened tomatoes, olives and pepperoncini’s are among the selections.
No menu of Italian cuisine would be complete without classic entrees such as eggplant parmigana, chicken piccata, baked ziti, lasagna, ravioli and more. For those wanting a taste of American cuisine to go along with their rock music the menu also features sub sandwiches, wraps and burgers. The indulgence doesn’t stop as the meal ends, for patrons that save room the dessert menu boasts homemade Sicilian-style cannoli, New York cheesecake, homemade apple pie and a sinful chocolate cake.
“If I had to go to the moon for an ingredient that would make the food just right, I would,” said Joe D’Amore. “Great food comes from the ingredients you use. Nothing comes out of the kitchen that I wouldn’t serve to my own family at Sunday dinner. It has to be the best and it has to be exactly like my grandmother used to serve-or we don’t serve it. Our pizza has won many awards over the years including Zagat, AOL, CitySearch’s Top 10 and others. I hope to win these for many years to come.”
“Bringing in Joe and D’Amore’s Pizza was a perfect match for the restaurant,” said Vamp’d owner Danny Koker. “People come to Vamp’d for the best live music in town on a nightly basis. Good food goes hand in hand with what we offer our guests. The minute we tasted the pizza we knew he had to come on board.”
