The Sporting House Bar & Grill, Las Vegas‘ premier destination for year-round sports action, opens Oct. 10, 2010 inside New York-New York Hotel & Casino. To celebrate the opening on 10/10/10, The Sporting House will provide a $10 GameCard to the All-Star Arcade to all patrons wearing a jersey with the number 10 on it – whether it’s your favorite pro jersey or your child’s little league uniform.**

With more than 130 video monitors, guests of The Sporting House can count on seeing the game they want to see in an environment built specifically for sports fans. The two-story restaurant and bar features a collaborative menu design by Ark Restaurant Corporation’s newly hired Executive Chef David Waltuck, celebrated chef/owner of four star Chanterelle in New York City, and Damien McEvoy, Ark’s Executive Chef for the past 14 years in Las Vegas.

In The Screening Room located on the first-floor, guests can enjoy the year’s biggest games on two 16-foot, high-definition screens and a dozen 36-inch, high-definition video monitors. The room offers an unrivaled atmosphere and unbeatable access to each day’s best matchups. Tiered seating assures that all guests have a perfect view for every game, match or event. Each table in The Screening Room features an individual video monitor that guests can adjust to keep track of additional action. For those interested in hosting a viewing party or their next fantasy draft, The Screening Room offers three private viewing rooms.

“Fans in Las Vegas are always looking for a great spot to watch their favorite team and we designed The Sporting House to provide those fans with a one-of-a-kind experience every time they visit,” said Paul Gordon, senior vice president of Ark Vegas Restaurant Corp. “When guests come to The Sporting House, they are going to know right away that this is the premier place in town to watch the game.”

Chef Waltuck brings his unique style to the menu with an array of dishes, such as the Maine lobster club wrap, Wagyu Kobe flat iron steak and smoked meatloaf. The menu also features Waltuck’s spin on classic sports favorites, including honey hoisen chicken wings, wood roasted BBQ chicken pizza, Philly cheese steak and a wide variety of juicy burgers. Fans looking to enjoy an ice-cold beverage while watching the games can choose from 12 beers on tap and a large variety of premium/crafted bottle beer.

“The menu at The Sporting House has been created to surpass expectations of what is typically served at a sports bar and restaurant,” said Waltuck. “I am extremely pleased with how it turned out and am eagerly anticipating guests’ reactions.”

During intermissions and breaks from the action, fans can check out The Sporting House’s second-story All-Star Arcade where more than 10,000 square feet of interactive and competitive sports-themed attractions await. Whether fans want to race their friends at Daytona or challenge each other in a round of Pop-A-Shot, there is a game for everyone. The fun never stops inside with interactive games from the most popular sports. The All-Star Arcade also has several high-definition televisions so fans don’t miss a moment of the action.
