On Thursday, September 30 Panevino Ristorante will treat diners to the cuisine of the Abruzzo region of Italy during their monthly wine dinner series. The monthly dinner series is quickly becoming a locals’ favorite allowing guests to sample a different regional Italian cuisine each month.

September’s dinner boasts a rich repertoire of robust mountain dishes and seafood specialties, both common to the Abruzzo region of Italy. With a mingling of mountains and coastline, the Abruzzo region is home to traditional rustic dishes, many of which are made from lamb, strong flavors and strong hospitality.

The five-course, prix fix, gourmet Abruzzo wine dinner begins at 7 p.m. and costs $99 per person. Seating is limited and reservations are required. For more information or to make reservations call 702.222.2400.

First Course
Pallotte “Cace e Ova” – Crispy bread and caciocavallo cheese balls in a fresh tomato sauce

Trio di Pesce in Brodetto – Seared tuna, swordfish and salmon in a lightly spicy rosemary, cherry tomato and white wine broth

Maccheroni alla Chitarra – Homemade durum semolina linguini in a veal, pork and lamb ragú with caciocavallo cheese

Ossobuco di Agnello – Braised 16 oz. lamb shank on a bed of mascarpone cheese mashed potatoes

Foresta Nera Abruzzese – Kirsch-soaked chocolate sponge cake layered with homemade whipped cream and maraschino cherries sprinkled with chocolate shavings
