Las Vegas Rocks Cafe At Neonopolis Is Open – Downtown Las Vegas’ Newest Restaurant Is A Historical Dining Experience
The Las Vegas Rocks Café downtown at Neonopolis, located at the corner of Fremont Street and Las Vegas Blvd., had the outdoor sign installed and opened at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009. After a remodel, the restaurant’s founder Tony Sacca, longtime producer, host and entertainer, is unveiling his Las Vegas history-themed restaurant in the space once occupied by Jillian’s. The new eatery, open daily from 11 a.m. to midnight, offers themed-style foods, an atmosphere filled with a historical perspective on Las Vegas, and live entertainment.
The café has a creative menu with items named after legendary entertainers and food selections such as the “topless dancer,” an open-face turkey breast sandwich. Food selections range from appetizers Charo’s Chili and Casino Chip Nachos to complete dinners The Sammy Steak and Cirque du Sole Filet.
The main dining room is the café with a stage, long bar, video screens showing vintage footage, and seating for 200. The next room has the retail shop with Las Vegas Rocks Café logo items and the Marquee Room that seats 100. The Marquee Room is perfect for groups and special shows like on New Year’s Eve when Lena Prima headlines.
Sacca’s partner is food manufacturer, bakery owner and internationally known Chef Josette Leblond, who has the experience and knowledge to operate a restaurant and produce fresh foods. Chef Josette has opened and sold a variety of restaurants from France to the United States, and she is also the creator and owner of Normandie Pate.
Sacca got the idea for the Las Vegas Rocks Café from a song he wrote four years ago when his television show “Entertainment Las Vegas Style” celebrated its 20th anniversary. The song was “Las Vegas Rocks.” His next creation was the Las Vegas Rocks musical clock and a line of souvenirs soon followed that are being sold at gift shops.
