First Food & Bar Las Vegas Celebrates The Anniversary Of Hawaii’s Statehood With A 9th Island Luau
The event will take place on Statehood Day and will celebrate the Hawaiian community, referred to as the 9th Island
WHO: FIRST Food & Bar inside The Shoppes at The Palazzo and FIRST Food & Bar patrons from across the valley.
WHAT: FIRST is hosting a 9th Island Luau in celebration of Hawaii’s inauguration as the 50th state in the union. Guests can celebrate Statehood Day by enjoying traditional Hawaiian Luau food that will be sold throughout the event and take advantage of drink specials including 2 for 1 Heinekens.
Specialty dishes created for the event include Ahi Poke, a raw tuna salad marinated in soy, sesame, chili peppers and green onions; Kaluha Pork, salted pork wrapped in ti leaves and slow roasted, shredded and served with white rice; and Spam Musubi, block of rice topped with soy/brown sugar glazed spam, wrapped in nori. These are just a few of the featured items. A sampling of Hawaiian desserts will be served toward the end of the evening. Diners will enjoy a vibrant night full of great food, history and tradition.
