Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas is delighted to welcome back three-star Michelin chef, Pierre Gagnaire, to his only restaurant in the United States, Twist by Pierre Gagnaire. From August 19 to 26, 2013 the Forbes Five-Star restaurant will launch an exclusive menu as well as an event with Opus One Winery.
On Monday, August 26, Opus One Winery will host a special dinner with the celebrated chef to showcase select wines paired with the award-winning restaurant’s innovative cuisine. On display for the evening will be the vintage 1980 Opus One, a wine of extraordinary richness and pure power, as well as vintages from 1988, 1999, 2005 and 2009. The six-course dinner will provide fare made specifically for the evening including Roasted Duck Foie Gras and Beef Strip Loin with artichoke ice cream. The all-inclusive dinner from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. is USD 500 per person.
For the duration of Chef Gagnaire’s visit, a unique menu will be available highlighting favorite dishes from his restaurants around the world. Priced at USD 325 per person, the Taste of the Continents menu will feature different entrees from his restaurants in London, Tokyo and Paris. From August 19 to 26, guests will indulge in the eight-course menu with wine pairings and delight in Tokyo’s Pan Seared Dorade Filet in chili-spiced butter, Paris’ traditional “Steak au Poivre”, London’s Free Range Chicken Breast Grilled-on-the-Bone “En Crapaudine” and much more.
