After being signed by legendary L.A. Reid at the young age of 14, Usher Raymond, released his debut album Usher in 1994. His first single, “Think of You” reached the top of the charts and paved his way to be known simply as Usher and make his mark on the R&B charts. Usher’s sophomore album My Way was released in 1997 with Usher doing quite a bit of the writing and working with producers Jermaine Dupri, Babyface and Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, who also worked with the artist on Usher.
My Way included singles “You Make Me Wanna,” “Nice & Slow” and title track “My Way” which went platinum. Usher released several other albums before collaborating with Lil Jon and Ludacris for the 2004 hit “Yeah!” which was incredibly popular in radio play and is still played in nightclubs throughout the world. Later that year, Usher released Confessions and received a Grammy award for Best Contemporary R&B Album. Usher’s latest release Here I Stand hit the ears of fans in late May of 2008.
