“Friday Night Live” Poolside Music Series Returns For Fourth Season At Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
After three highly successful seasons, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino brings back Friday Night Live with a performance by Flyleaf on Friday, May 7 at 7 p.m.
Highlighting some of today’s hottest artists at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s award-winning pool, Friday Night Live (FNL) has become a necessity for Vegas locals and music fans alike. To kick off the fourth season, Flyleaf brings their platinum-selling rock to the FNL stage on May 7.
“We are very excited to bring back Vegas’ favorite summer evening party for a fourth year,” said Paul Davis, vice president of entertainment for Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. “Featuring a wide range of incredible artists, Friday Night Live 2010 is sure to be the best season the poolside concert series has ever had.”
The initial launch of the series consists of eight acts, with more to be announced soon. The lineup, on sale Saturday, March 20, includes the following shows:
FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE – LINEUP
Flyleaf Friday, May 7 at 7 p.m. (Doors at 6 p.m.)

Platinum-selling Texas quintet Flyleaf kicks off the fourth season of FNL. In October 2008, the band entered a Los Angeles studio with producer Howard Benson to record Memento Mori, the follow-up to their self-titled debut album, Flyleaf. Flyleaf spent 133 weeks on the Billboard 200 while staking claims in the top 5 of the Billboard Hard Rock Albums chart and the top 15 of the Billboard Rock Albums and Alternative Albums charts.
Toots and the Maytals Friday, May 14 at 8 p.m. (Doors at 7 p.m.)

Best known for their ska and reggae vocal talents, Jamaican musical group Toots and the Maytals take over the FNL stage this May. Formed in the early 1960′s, the group went on to win a Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album in 2005 for True Love, record a reggae / ska version of Radiohead’s “Let Down” for the tribute album, Radiodread, by the Easy Star All-Stars in 2006 and received a Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Album for Light Your Light in 2007.
De La Soul Friday, May 21 at 9 p.m. (Doors at 7 p.m.)

Hip hop group De La Soul has been entertaining fans with their eclectic music and quirky lyrics since 1987. With playful wordplay and witty skits, the band’s debut album, 3 Feet High and Rising, has been hailed as a hip hop masterpiece. In 2006, De La Soul won a Grammy for their collaboration with the Gorillaz on the single “Feel Good Inc.” Most recently, the group teamed up with Nike and released “Are You In?,” a 44-minute track designed to be listened to while on a run.
Rusted Root Friday, May 28 at 9 p.m. (Doors at 7 p.m.)

Jam-heavy rock group Rusted Root returns to the FNL stage for a fourth year in a row. The band, formed in the early 1990′s, will play new songs from their 2009 album Stereo Rodeo as well as old fan favorites. After experiencing Rusted Root live, it is clear that the multicultural rock and soul band refuses to let anything interfere with the beautiful collaboration of music they are known for creating.
Gin Blossoms Friday, June 4 at 9 p.m. (Doors at 7 p.m.)
Tickets – $25
Alternative rock group the Gin Blossoms have had a significant influence on modern rock due to their consolidation of melodic rock, folk and country elements. The band has produced a string of hits during their lengthy career such as “Hey Jealousy,” “Found Out About You,” “Mrs. Rita,” “Allison Road,” and “Til I Hear It From You.” Another hit song, “Follow You Down,” can be found in the box office smash, How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days.
Pepper Friday, June 11 at 9 p.m. (Doors at 7 p.m.)

Touring non-stop since arriving on the Southern California coast from Hawaii’s Big Island over 11 years ago, Pepper bring their unique reggae rock sound to the FNL stage following the release of their fifth studio album, Pink Crustaceans and Good Vibrations. After seeing Pepper live, it is clear that the group focuses all of their energy on live performances and culminating rich, sincere relationships with each and every fan. Pepper has sold over 400,000 records independently, their music has appeared in multiple movie and television soundtracks and they have had a number of album tracks appear on the Billboard Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart.
The Original Wailers Friday, June 18 at 9 p.m. (Doors at 7 p.m.)

Bob Marley and the Wailers have sold more than 250 million albums over the past 40 years. Now, many of Marley’s legendary musicians, along with other renowned reggae artists, have reformed under the title of The Original Wailers. Led by legendary singer / guitarist Junior Marvin, The Original Wailers promise to recreate musical history as they continue to spread the message of “One Love.”
Los Lonely Boys Friday, August 13 at 9 p.m. (Doors at 7 p.m.)

Los Lonely Boys is a Grammy Award-winning rock band consisting of three brothers that combines elements of rock and roll, blues, country and soul. Their debut album, Los Lonely Boys, was recorded at Willie Nelson’s Pedernales recording studio and released in 2004. The boys eagerly awaited sophomore album, Sacred, hit the scene in 2006, followed by Forgiven in 2008. Most recently, the group released 1969 in 2009; an EP of covers paying tribute to one of America’s most musically hailed years.
