The Multi-Talented Craig Ferguson Is Set To Entertain The City At The Venetian Las Vegas

Craig FergusonThe Venetian Las Vegas is pleased to announce that Craig Ferguson, comedian and host of CBS’s “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” will join its stellar lineup of entertainers for a series of limited engagements in 2010. The Scottish-born Ferguson entered the world of late night comedy following a diverse and eclectic career that encompassed film, television and the stage. His engagements are set just a couple weeks apart, May 21-22 and June 4-5 at 9 p.m. inside the 742-seat Venetian Showroom where he will debut his new show.

“We’ve been a fan of Craig Ferguson’s for a long time,” said Chris Yancey, executive director of entertainment for The Venetian and The Palazzo, “he’s not only extremely funny but a multi-dimensional artist as well. His headlining performances are rare so we’re excited to have him perform here at The Venetian”

Throughout Ferguson’s career, he has written the feature films “Saving Grace” and “The Big Tease,” and best-selling novels, including the most recent “American On Purpose,” on which his standup routine is largely based. This March, he is featured as the voice of the Viking ‘Gobber’ in the animated feature “How to Train Your Dragon.” Since taking the helm of the Late, Late Show on January 3, 2005, the show has set all-time viewer records in the five years that it has been on the air. In addition to the above accomplishments, Ferguson recently won a 2009 Peabody Award for broadcasting excellence in news and entertainment for his episode “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson: An Evening with Archbishop Desmond Tutu.”

Tickets are on sale now. Show dates are Friday and Saturday, May 21 and 22 and June 4 and 5 at 9 p.m.
