Larry The Cable Guy To Bring His Comedy Routine To Mandalay Bay Events Center Saturday, December 12
Larry The Cable Guy, the American stand-up comedian and actor known best for his signature catch-phrase “Git-R-Done,” will bring his hilarious routine to Las Vegas and make a stop at the Mandalay Bay Events Center Saturday, Dec. 12. The performance is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.
Larry continues to sell out theatres and arenas across the United States. On July 4 at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Neb., Larry performed in front of more than 50,000 fans, a show that was a ‘thank you’ to his fans as well as the entire state of Nebraska for their long-time support. Tickets were sold for only $4 and the show sold out in one weekend.
In March, Comedy Central presented “The Comedy Central Roast of Larry The Cable Guy” on which Larry was the executive producer. The show is the third highest-rated roast in Comedy Central history, having attracted 4.1 million viewers. In 2008, he hosted and produced “Larry The Cable Guy’s Star-Studded Christmas Extravaganza” which aired on Country Music Television (CMT) to huge ratings. He recently completed a deal for another Christmas special to air later this year on CMT.
In 2008, Larry co-starred with Ivana Milicevic, Yaphet Kotto, Peter Stormare, Joe Mantegna, Jenny McCarthy and Eric Roberts in Witless Protection. Prior to Witless Protection, Larry starred in the 2007 film Delta Farce. His first feature, Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector, was released in 2006. The comedy starred Joe Pantoliano, Joanna Cassidy and Tony Hale. The DVD, released in August 2006, sold more than 1 million copies in the first week.
Larry also was part of the highly successful concert “Blue Collar Comedy Tour” which grossed more than $15 million. The ensemble cast of comedians included Jeff Foxworthy and Bill Engvall. The tour’s success led to Blue Collar Comedy Tour, The Movie which premiered on Comedy Central in November 2003 and, at the time, was the highest-rated movie in the network’s history. The DVD has sold more than 4 million units. In March 2006, the Blue Collar boys reunited to shoot Blue Collar Comedy Tour, One For The Road. The movie had its world premiere on Comedy Central later that year and again received high ratings. The soundtrack was nominated for a 2006 Grammy Award. Larry’s DVD special “Git-R-Done,” has sold more than 1 million copies and has been certified platinum.
His debut comedy album release, Lord, I Apologize, reached gold status and has sold more than 500,000 copies. The album was No. 1 on the Billboard Comedy Charts for 15 consecutive weeks. Another of Larry’s releases, The Right To Bare Arms, debuted at No. 1 on the Soundscan Comedy Chart as well as Country Chart. This marked the first time in the history of Soundscan that a comedy album landed at the top of the Country Chart. It has been certified gold by the RIAA and also received a Grammy nomination.
Larry has won numerous awards as well including Billboard’s 2005 Comedy Artist of the Year, Comedy Album of the Year and the 2006 Billboard Top Comedy Tour Award. He is a best-selling author and his 2005 book, Git-R-Done, debuted at No. 26 on the New York Times bestseller list.
