‘Famous Vegas Wedding Chapel’ Opens on Strip
The new ‘Famous Vegas Wedding Chapel,’ which opened August 1, 2011, sits comfortably nestled in the shadow of the famed Wynn and Encore Resorts on the Las Vegas “Strip.” Located in The Gold Key Center at 3057 South Las Vegas Boulevard, the chapel takes full advantage of its high visibility and hands-on approach to that “special” day.
For many years, owner Michelle Gutierrez has perfected her personal ‘Special Event’ and party organizing styling for groups of all sizes in Wisconsin. Now, she is ready to be a part of the ‘Vegas’ scene. “We originally came to Las Vegas as tourists, visitors like millions of other people, but we were intrigued by the possibilities,” says Michelle. “It wasn’t long before we began scouting for a great location to spread our wings with the creation of a wedding chapel and banquet facility.” She found the ideal property at The Gold Key Center, which is currently undergoing a ‘rejuvenation’ of its own – adding an interior, tree-lined street’ for ambiance. The location had previously been the site of a wedding chapel, and the adjoining 1,050 square foot suite, could be easily transformed into a banquet facility for all types of celebrations.
Michelle, as the mother of five, has already proven her organizational skills according to husband Aby. “He encouraged me to take my experience and create something that I would feel passionate about. I want to create a more ‘modern’ version of the ‘Vegas’ wedding chapel. So many of the young couples I meet and talk with want a wedding that is simple, elegant, trendy – they don’t want the ‘traditional’ look. Younger brides want wedding dresses in colors other than white – they want choices and options – they want to create their own wedding without all the structure of the past.”
With that in mind, Michelle’s ‘Famous Vegas Wedding Chapel’ currently offers more than 18 different wedding packages – in all price ranges. “But, we encourage our couples to create their own wedding experience,” added Michelle.
From the $50 basic ‘I Do’, to Elvis Packages, to the $1,999 ‘Outdoor’ weddings with courtesy Limousine transportation, a 2-tier Wedding Cake, photos, champagne glasses and more, ‘Famous Vegas Wedding Chapel’ is ready to create the wedding experience for today’s couples.
“Yesterday may have been all about tradition, and the demands of the family,” noted Michelle. “But, today’s couples have a more personal approach to the wedding ceremony. Our goal is to create an atmosphere that allows a couple to create the wedding of their dreams. There really are no limits, no boundaries- we are here to make their vision a reality.
