Bellagio, Picasso, and Le Cirque have been awarded the prestigious AAA Five Diamond Award for 2012. With unsurpassed service, world-class dining and luxurious amenities, Bellagio also has the distinction of being the only hotel in the U.S. to have two AAA Five Diamond restaurants under one roof.
“The AAA Five Diamond Award represents the highest level of excellence, and this honor is an important achievement Bellagio, Picasso and Le Cirque have received year after year,” said Randy Morton, president and COO of Bellagio. “I’m extremely proud of Bellagio, its beauty and all we have to offer, but I’m most proud of our incredible team and what they accomplish on a daily basis to provide memorable experiences for our guests.”
Julian Serrano’s renowned restaurant, Picasso, garnered its eleventh AAA Five Diamond Award this year while Le Cirque, by the acclaimed Maccioni family, has earned the award for the ninth consecutive year. Also for nine consecutive years, Bellagio continues to be the only hotel in the U.S. with two AAA Five Diamond restaurants.
Michael Geeser, AAA Nevada spokesperson, said, “By earning a AAA Five Diamond rating, Bellagio has once again revealed the characteristics of the ultimate in luxury and sophistication. Its accommodations are first class, its restaurants are spectacular and its employees’ service is extraordinary. Bellagio continues to exceed all guest expectations while maintaining an impeccable standard of excellence.”
In 2001, Bellagio became the first Las Vegas hotel and casino to receive the AAA Five Diamond Award and continues to offer unparalleled quality and service. Inspired by the beautiful villages of Europe, Bellagio overlooks a Mediterranean-blue lake in which The Fountains of Bellagio perform their magnificent aquatic ballet. Award-winning dining, a world-class art gallery, the exquisite Conservatory & Botanical Gardens, Cirque du Soleil’s stunning production of ‘O’, a luxurious spa and salon and premier shopping all work together to compose the symphony that is Bellagio.
To be considered for AAA rating and approval, lodgings and restaurants undergo a thorough evaluation by AAA/CAA’s full-time tourism inspectors. Five Diamond establishments go through a much more extensive review. AAA experts judge lodgings on the exterior of the facility, public areas, guest rooms, amenities and bathrooms. Restaurants are evaluated on criteria including food, service, décor and ambiance. Less than one-half percent of more than 31,000 hotels and less than one-quarter percent of 26,000 restaurants achieve this distinction.

Caesars Palace Las Vegas and Nobu Hospitality announced that they have signed a non-binding letter of intent to develop the world’s first Nobu Hotel, an innovative concept that will integrate an exclusive hotel tower with the first Nobu restaurant and lounge on the Las Vegas Strip.
The planned development would further the tradition of world-class accommodations and service that is synonymous with the resort’s luxury brand. In announcing this tactical relationship, Nobu Hospitality has reinforced its focused growth strategy, expanding through the complete hospitality spectrum.
“We will bring the DNA of the Nobu brand to life in this venture through the vision of Nobu Matsuhisa with his fellow long time partners and friends Robert De Niro and Meir Teper,” said Trevor Horwell, Chief Executive of Nobu Hospitality. “With a renowned location in Caesars Palace, the luxury Nobu Hotel Las Vegas will be a destination for style-makers and trendsetters, offering an immersive, fun and social experience”
Under the plan, the interior of the Centurion Tower at Caesars Palace will undergo a multi-million dollar renovation to create the Nobu Hotel within the resort. The 180-room Nobu Hotel will feature 16 suites and a penthouse with a stylish interior design that showcases natural materials, fused with Nobu’s signature Japanese elegance. Nobu Hotel guests will enjoy private check-in and the unique benefit of room service from Nobu’s acclaimed culinary team.
The centerpiece of the renovation is the Nobu Restaurant and Lounge. Classically trained in Tokyo, world renowned chef Nobu Matsuhisa has leveraged his life abroad in South America and around the world to create a culinary and hospitality brand with universal appeal. The restaurant and lounge will span 9,500 square-feet at the base of the Nobu tower, near the existing Appian Way at Caesars Palace.
“Caesars Palace has a long history of reinvention, continuously elevating our guest’s expectation of luxury and service,” said Gary Selesner, president of Caesars Palace. “Nobu’s distinctive brand will bring a new dimension to Caesars Palace and will be designed to attract first-time visitors. The re-branded hotel tower, restaurant and lounge will offer an experience unlike anything in Las Vegas, pairing exclusive accommodations with a resort famed for world-class entertainment, shopping and leisure experiences.”
The completion of this transaction is subject to a number of conditions, including, without limitation, the negotiation of definitive documentation and the approval of this transaction by the board of directors of Caesars Entertainment Corporation and the shareholders of Nobu Hospitality.
Caesars Palace is the world’s best known resort-casino, celebrating the grandeur that was Rome, in an 85-acre destination location that sets the standard for entertainment, dining and luxury. Eva Longoria Parker’s Beso steakhouse will introduce a traditional Thanksgiving Day menu this holiday. On November 25, guests will enjoy a three-course meal, from 4:30 to 9 p.m.
The menu starts off with Green Bean Salad topped by porcini emulsion, crispy shallot and piquillo peppers. The main course includes Roasted Turkey Breast served with braised Spanish sausage-stuffed leg, kumquat cranberry relish, roulade of stuffing along with mashed Yukon potatoes and gravy. The final course includes a delicious slice of Pumpkin Pie with ginger snap crust, Chantilly cream and Marcona almond brittle.
“When creating our Thanksgiving Day menu, each recipe was designed to capture the traditional flavors of the all-American holiday with a few exciting twists,” said Beso’s Executive Chef Matt Piekarski. “For example, our green bean salad is a play on the classic green bean casserole but instead of cream of mushroom soup and onion rings, we‘ve created a salad with porcini emulsion and crispy shallots. Our pumpkin pie was also inspired by the classic dessert, with the addition of a ginger snap pie crust to add depth and enhance the flavor.”
Beso’s Thanksgiving Day menu is available for $65 per person. For reservations, call 702.254.BESO (2376).
