Qua Baths & Spa At Caesars Palace Expands Destination Spa Offerings With Addition Of Yoga And Water Qi Gong Classes

Award-winning Qua Baths & Spa at Caesars Palace is proud to bring spirituality, meditation and relaxation to the famed Las Vegas Strip with the addition of both yoga and water Qi Gong classes. Since opening in 2006, Qua Baths & Spa has focused on total wellness – melding principles of Western world relaxation and Eastern world philosophies of healing. Yoga and water Qi Gong are an expansion of that vision.

“We find that our clientele is coming to Las Vegas for a total wellness experience, to leave a more relaxed and balanced person than when they came,” said Chrystal King, director of Qua Baths & Spa. “We have many guests who come for a single service, however the trend at Qua is leaning toward a full day of relaxation –a massage, chakra balancing, hypnotherapy and then close the day with yoga.”

Led by yoga master Swami Ramananda, Qua’s yoga practices are held weekly in the newly opened “Tranquility” yoga center in Caesars Palace. With more than 40 years experience teaching yoga, Ramananda’s practices strongly focus on rhythmic breathing and guided meditation.

Ramananda also leads Qua’s water Qi Gong classes, which are hosted on a weekly basis in the serene, open-air Bacchus pool. The pool deck overlooks the resort’s newly expanded Garden of the Gods swimming oasis, creating a relaxing escape from daily stresses. Qi Gong is a meditative practice that uses slow graceful movements and controlled breathing techniques to promote circulation and enhance overall wellness.

Qua Baths & Spas hosts yoga each Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in the Tranquility yoga center, located in the Color Boutique, along Appian Way. Water Qi Gong is hosted each Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the Bacchus pool in the Garden of the Gods pool oasis. Participation in Caesars Palace yoga and water Qi Gong classes is priced at $15 per person for each class; each class may be paired with fitness facility access for $35. Guests may experience a class and have access to the fitness room, plus the spa’s Roman Baths, therapy pools, steam sauna and Arctic Ice Room for $55.

Reliquary Water Sanctuary & Spa inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino leaves guests relaxed, rejuvenated and ready for the limitless and provocative nights Sin City is known for. As part of the $750 million expansion, Reliquary is the newest addition to HRH Tower.

The stylish Spa with decorative mosaic tiling is reminiscent of a Turkish Bathhouse where guests mingle in private cabana-style alcoves and lounge space. As in ancient times where bathhouses were the focal center for social and recreational activity, Reliquary offers Las Vegas’ most unique co-ed Bathhouse and creates an area where guests can relax and socialize together in the hot thermal waters. From Turkish, Russian and Ancient Cane Rituals to Golden Body Wraps, Swedish and Thai Massages, the new all-encompassing spa offers an unparalleled retreat.

Reliquary presents a calming environment mixed with a high-end edginess of woodwork and millwork, creating a well-balanced spa experience. As the Bathhouse is wired for personalized audio, this creates a spa destination experience where guests can receive clandestine treatments and then relax for hours together with refreshing beverages from the Spa’s full-service Juice Bar.

“Reliquary offers guests a destination to shut out the noise of Vegas and have a moment that is all about them,” said John Marushok, Reliquary Spa Director. “The Spa rounds out our new all-suite HRH Tower, which also includes Vanity Nightclub, additional casino space and offers Vegas goers a chance to unwind any way they choose.”

Conveniently located in the all-suite HRH Tower, the Tower’s Spa Villas are an indulgent experience all to themselves with private access to and from the Spa. Designed to combine a city loft feel with the spirit of a private townhouse residence, the two-story Villas are adorned with sleek interior furniture and organic finishes. The industrial staircase and floor-to-ceiling glass façade spans about 30 feet high, while the opposing floor is a polished concrete tile with white Venetian plaster wall finishes. For those of whom discretion is of the upmost importance, there is an area where a private therapist can perform in-room spa treatments. Outside, guests will relax in the tranquil sanctuary of a private plunge pool with direct access to the new HRH Beach Club.

Reliquary Spa “one-of-a-kinds” include:

To complement the 25,000 sq. ft. Reliquary Spa and boutique fitness center, a full salon and Juice Bar is located adjacent to the Spa. BrannonHair may provide guests with a quick touch up or full makeover to look fresh before hitting the town. Celebrity-stylist Brannon offers locals, guests and celebrity clients cuts, color and creativity in an all-new ultra-exclusive salon. The Juice Bar can provide in-room beverages during treatments or serve as a lounge to socialize after a session. Whether in the mood for a nutritional shake to rejuvenate after a therapy session or an alcoholic beverage to start the evening, the bar is fully stocked with guests’ drink favorites.

Located in the all-suite HRH Tower, Reliquary is part of Hard Rock’s $750 million expansion that broke ground in 2007. As part of the expansion, Hard Rock Hotel welcomes the addition of approximately 860 guest rooms, including the recent opening of HRH Tower (opened Dec. 28) and Paradise Tower (opened August 2009).
