Comedy-Magician Mac King Launches New eBook Mac King’s Magic in a Minute Mysteries – Available on Amazon Kindle and Barnes and Noble NOOK

Accomplished author and Comedy-Magician Mac King announces the launch of his latest book Mac King’s Magic in a Minute Mysteries, available on eBook platforms including Kindle, NOOK and Smashwords.

A spinoff of King’s wildly popular and syndicated Magic-in-a-Minute comic strip, Magic in a Minute Mysteries is a thrill-packed eBook that features the familiar cast of the comic strip, Mac King and his sidekick Lewis T. Monkey. They are joined by a group of new characters; Harry Zimmerman, the narrator, Kelly Diaz, the heroine, and Contessa Vanessa D’Messa, an eccentric snooty pants and the Clubhouse O’ Magic’s landlord, who aid in solving the most confounding of mysteries through a series of loosely connected chapters. Through the narration of Harry Zimmerman, the book’s interactive format takes the reader on an path encouraging them to perform a few of Mac King’s illusions, which are then used to help solve the mystery.

“With the growing popularity of eReaders like Kindle and Nook, I knew it was only a matter of time until my faithful and attention-craving sidekick, Lewis T. Monkey, would want to make his appearance in the digital world,” said Mac King. “With Magic in a Minute Mysteries, kids can learn magic in a fun new way by reading and participating in a good book. Plus, Lewis’ thirst for stardom is quenched for another day.”

Suited for children in grades 5-8, with a reading level of 9-12, Magic in a Minute Mysteries is a thrill-packed interactive book written by Mac King and R.G. Wyatt and is published by Mac King Industries. Magic in a Minute Mysteries features illustrations by Bill King that translate effectively to both color and black and white eReaders, and is available to download for $4.99 on Kindle and NOOK. Additionally, it is available for smart phones and tablets via Smashwords – the world’s leading eBook publishing and distribution platform. More information on the book series can be found at www.magicinaminutemysteries.com.

About Magic in a Minute
In June of 2004, Mac King launched “Magic In a Minute” – a Sunday comic strip that runs in major national newspapers – alongside illustrator Bill King. The success of “Magic In a Minute” led to magic toys, magic sets and instructional videos that are sold in major box retailers nationwide.

King debuted his first book Great Big Ol’ Book-O-Magic in 2007, a magic book which quickly became a hit among children. In 2009 Suitcase-O-Magic – a miniature suitcase filled with magic tricks and instructions – hit store shelves. Continuing the success of his bookstore endeavors, Mac King released Mac King’s Campfire Magic in March 2010, followed by Mac King’s Campfire Magic App for iPhone and iPad. In May 2010, King released his newest magic set Lunchbox-O-Magic.

Singer and Songwriter Frankie Moreno On His Way Up at Stratosphere – New Headliner Begins November 9, 2011

The Stratosphere Casino Hotel & Tower is proud to announce the signing of singer and songwriter Frankie Moreno as its new headline act in Stratosphere Theater beginning Wednesday, November 9, 2011.  Moreno’s ten-piece band will perform three nights a week.

Frankie Moreno

Born in Santa Cruz, California, Moreno’s career trajectory started upward at the age of 11 when the classically trained pianist landed a spot next to Ed McMahon on ”Star Search”. That upward path has continued for the singer/musician. Moreno is currently working on his own album with Sony Masterworks, an opportunity that arose after Moreno collaborated on the ”Eleanor Rigby” track with world-renowned violinist Joshua Bell on his best selling debut album, At Home With Friends, that reached #1 on the Billboard Charts in two categories.

”It’s always been a dream of mine to headline a Las Vegas showroom and I can’t wait for opening night,” said Moreno.  ”Our show is a bit of a throwback to the kinds of performances that made Vegas showrooms famous, but we keep a modern vibe.”

Moreno is a favorite among music-lovers, as well as fellow entertainers and celebrities who are often spotted at his performances in Las Vegas and abroad.   His unique style and sophisticated swagger have garnered the music industry’s attention, whether on tour with Billy Currington who was co-headlining with Sugarland, or joining multi-platinum artists Air Supply on their world tour.

”Frankie is a rising star and everyone who sees him is blown away by his talent,” said Paul Hobson, Stratosphere Casino Hotel & Tower General Manager.  ”With all the great changes and renovations we’ve made, this is the next step for us in elevating our guests’ experience.”

Moreno and his band will perform three nights a week in the Stratosphere Theater.  His Wednesday night show will begin at 11pm, while his show on Friday and Saturday nights will begin at 8pm.   Tickets are $29.99, plus tax.  Las Vegas locals and Stratosphere hotel guests can see the show for only $19.99, plus tax.   For ticket information, please call 800-99-TOWER (800-998-6937). The show is for adults 21 and older.

BITE Las Vegas will move to 9pm on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, and 10pm on Friday and Saturday (dark Tuesday).
