Rick Harrison, of HISTORY’s “Pawn Stars,” planned early for “The Old Man’s” birthday this year. For a man who has nearly everything, Harrison had to get creative when coming up with a special present to commemorate his Dad’s 71st birthday. Being the savvy collector that Harrison is, he and the Gold & Silver Pawn staff came up with the idea of creating a silver medallion embossed with “The Old Man’s” face, now available for purchase exclusively at the pawn shop.

This special piece was presented to “The Old Man” Friday, March 2, in a special celebration at the pawn shop. Family, staff and fans were all in attendance as Harrison presented the handcrafted coin to his Dad. Afterwards, everyone was able to enjoy a marble cake with buttercream frosting endorsed with a picture of “The Old Man.”

Also in attendance was country superstar Randy Travis and his entourage, who surprised everyone with a special appearance for “The Old Man.” Travis gave the crooner a special edition guitar that he signed for him while at the shop signing, “Great to meet you. God Bless.”

The medallion was commissioned with Sunshine Minting, Inc. based in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and struck at their operation in Henderson, Nevada. Sunshine Minting is the world’s largest manufacturer of silver and gold for bullion and their products can be found at the Pawn Shop. The first mintage of this medallion will be strictly limited to 1,000 pieces and will only be sold at the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, priced at $60 each.

OMEGA is a prestigious Swiss watch company with more than 163 years of experience creating fine time pieces.

The 1,252-square-foot OMEGA boutique offers the brand’s entire product line, including selections from the fine leather and jewelry collections only available at flagship stores. The boutique’s façade has been conceived around the themes of sun, water, earth and time. On display in the store windows, products are illuminated to symbolize the sun’s energetic light rays.

Breguet

Breguet is a leading high-end maker of luxury watches and jewelry creations.

With only five U.S. locations, this is the brand’s first and only Las Vegas location. Visitors can browse the films at their leisure using a touch screen.

Vegas StrEATs is brought to the Las Vegas community by Slidin’ Thru in partnership with the El Cortez Hotel & Casino and Insert Coin(s). Food vendors including Slidin’ Thru, Fuku Burger, Pop’s Truck, Yellow Lunch Box, Carefree, BBQ Boy, Sin City Wings, Grouchy Johns and Papi Churro will be on hand, along with local artists and retailers.

Live entertainment throughout the night by Air Stegosaurus, Steve Peek, 51Fifty, Saku, DJ Zo, Kid Conrad, Chuck B and Jeremy Espinosa. Artists and streetwear booths include Haute Chix, Empire Gallery, Civilian and others.

WHAT: Vegas StrEATs began in March 2011 and has become a local hot spot with a number of different food trucks, art vendors, live music, DJs, drinks and fun. The goal of this event is to provide a platform and opportunity for local businesses to shine.

Blue Man Group (click link to book) opens a new visually stunning, interactive retail store at The Venetian. Located in front of the Blue Man Group Theatre, the retail store features an interactive video wall with two high-definition monitors and a ”fan cam.” The fan cam records video of visitors and broadcasts it live on one of the screens.
