Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas Unveils HRH Beach Club

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino continues to elevate the Las Vegas pool scene with the unveiling of HRH Beach Club. The new desert oasis offers hotel guests a serene retreat with enhanced service, amenities and unparalleled atmosphere. As part of the $750 million expansion, the opening of HRH Beach Club nearly doubles the pool vicinity to encompass five lush acres.

Located just steps from the new all-suite HRH Tower, HRH Beach Club features an expansive pool area, sandy beach, 17 daybeds and 24 luxury cabanas. A unique island pool, which remains 20 degrees cooler than the main body of water, creates the perfect place to chill when temperatures hit triple digits. Additional Beach Club elements include a Bar & Grill, eight luxurious Spa Villas, swim-up blackjack and a gaming lounge.

“We are once again redefining the day-life pool scene in Las Vegas with our new HRH Beach Club,” said Phil Shalala, CMO of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. “The Beach Club creates a refined atmosphere and escape for guests to unwind. We are looking forward to continuing to create incredible experiences for locals and tourists alike this summer with all of our added amenities.”

The HRH Beach Club Bar & Grill is adjacent to the new poolside gaming lounge and directly below SKYBAR. Three peek-a-boo cutouts in the floor of the SKYBAR infinity pool above, act as skylight windows to the Bar & Grill offering diners a glimpse at the action. The Bar & Grill features specialty cocktails including the Beach Club Blue Hawaiian, Tropical (Crime of) Passion, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Mai Tai One On, along with imported and domestic beer and fresh fruit smoothies. Breakfast options include the Breakfast Burrito, Breakfast Stack, Fresh Fruit, Granola Parfait and a variety of pastries. Signature snacks and appetizers include Pita Chips and Hummus Dip, Chicken Quesadilla, Loaded Nachos and a Rock n’ Roll Sushi Combo. Guests may also choose from a number of Mr. Lucky’s Pizzas, a variety of salads, along with wraps and sandwiches such as the Ahi Tuna Wrap, Rockin’ Shrimp Tacos and Grilled Sirloin Burger. Lighter fare includes Iced Grapes and Strawberries, Chilled Hawaiian Pineapple and more. The Bar & Grill is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Beach Club Breakfast is served daily from 10 a.m. to noon.

Reliquary Spa & Water Sanctuary poolside massage treatments are also available for HRH Beach Club guests. Services include the signature Ancient Cane Massage, Deep Tissue, Swedish and Reflexology Massages. For the ultimate spa getaway, the new HRH Tower Spa Villas are an indulgent experience all to themselves featuring private access to HRH Beach Club and the Spa. Designed to combine a city loft feel with the spirit of a private townhouse residence, the two-story Villas are adorned with sleek interior furniture and organic finishes. The industrial staircase and floor-to-ceiling glass façade spans about 30 feet high, while the opposing floor is a polished concrete tile with white Venetian plaster wall finishes. For those of whom discretion is of the upmost importance, there is an area where a private attendant can perform in-room spa treatments and mani/pedi services. Outside, guests will relax in the tranquil sanctuary of a private plunge pool with direct access to the new HRH Beach Club.

Known for having the best dealers and most attractive servers in Vegas, Hard Rock is upping the ante with Hell’s Belles dealers in bikinis at the new swim-up gaming area. Players will not be disappointed with the nine new tables including seven Blackjack, one dice game and one Roulette Wheel where more than 60 gamers can play at once. High-rollers, who meet the minimum requirements, can catch some rays and keep the games going by reserving a table outside for an exclusive game.

For those who want to play their favorite casino games, such as table games, video poker and slots in the comfort of their cabana, mobile gaming will launch later in the season. Announced earlier this year by Cantor Gaming, an affiliate of the global financial services firm Cantor Fitzgerald L.P., and the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, eDeck, a mobile gaming device, will offer Hard Rock Hotel customers the ability to play throughout public areas of the casino property including HRH Beach Club and Rehab pool areas.

HRH Beach Club is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Siegel Group Defies The Odds – Brings Intimate Boutique Chic Retreats To Las Vegas

It seems that every decade, Las Vegas produces a few genuine mavericks with the vision to take a new path and veer from the status quo. The 90’s saw Steve Wynn, Peter Morton and George Maloof change the way things were done. Now, in 2010, the Las Vegas landscape has changed; business is different and the old paradigm of building bigger and larger no longer works. Today, it is about being different and unique—new ideas, new concepts and that is what makes the timing right for Stephen Siegel, founder and president of The Siegel Group, to jump into the game and create a new category of Las Vegas lodging—the Boutique Chic Retreats.

While some of the mega-resorts have tried to describe themselves as having boutique qualities, their claims ring false based on their sheer size and platform. The Siegel Group, the Las Vegas and Los Angeles-based hotel, real estate and business development company, is now setting a new standard by creating the ultimate Las Vegas escape destinations with five distinctive Las Vegas boutique hotel properties: Rumor (opening June 2010); The Artisan; Gold Spike Hotel & Casino; Oasis at Gold Spike and The Resort on Mount Charleston.

The Siegel Group’s hotels are the new face of the Las Vegas experience: contemporary, stylish and designed with the culturally creative in mind. Located in areas once known primarily by locals, each hotel now stands at the nexus of hip, fun and sexy.

“I’m told every day I’m crazy to be entering into the market with a new concept during such tough times; I love that!” explains Siegel. “We have created a new niche product not available in Las Vegas, but there are people who want it and I’m going to deliver it. I remember when Steve Wynn built The Mirage, people said it would be too big and when he opened Bellagio they said that it would be too luxurious. There were countless naysayers who predicted Peter Morton’s Hard Rock Hotel would fail and no one thought George Maloof’s plan to launch his hotel with an MTV reality show would work, but it did. No one believed there was a market for what they envisioned; those are the types of people I plan on emulating. These are different times, and I plan on delivering a different type of Las Vegas hotel.”

Each of Siegel’s properties is distinctive in size, style and ambiance, but all provide locals and out-of-town visitors with a hotel experience like none other in the city. The hotel’s showcase Siegel’s vision for the ultimate urban getaway for business or pleasure, all setting the new standard for design, cool vibes, accessibility, relaxation and value in Las Vegas.

“Las Vegas is not thought of as a boutique hotel city like New York, Miami or San Francisco. For years, the only idea in Las Vegas was to build bigger, but The Siegel Group philosophy is to offer something entirely innovative: something smaller with the personal customer touch. We want to create an experience that feels exclusive, comfortable, relaxed and has great value,” says Siegel. “Each of our five boutique hotels provides a reprieve from the grind and grandiose normally associated with Las Vegas. From the minute you enter into any of the lobbies, the design, music and atmosphere will instantly take the edge off; it is immediately apparent you have entered into a new type of Las Vegas experience.”

From the Harmon corridor to downtown Las Vegas to Strip adjacent to the surrounding mountains just 40 minutes away, The Siegel Group’s Boutique Chic Retreats represent a new “state-of-mind” for Las Vegas hotel properties.

RUMOR (Opening this summer)

Formerly St. Tropez, the hotel had become a relic amidst new developments. Today, it is re-imagined as the new RUMOR Hotel. Located where Paradise meets Harmon, directly across the street from the famed Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, the area is now home to some of the best bars, restaurants, nightclubs and gaming in the city. RUMOR embodies a powerful combination: chic, hot location, cool pool, zero attitude, modern rooms and unexpected amenities all in a boutique hotel setting. Featuring 150 suites, many featuring patios or private balconies, the two-story intimate hotel and resort does away with the impersonal casino lobby and instead opts for a cool ultra-lounge welcome with concierge-style check-in.

Once checked-in to the room, guests are met with fantastic views of the swaying palms, distinctive wet-deck, the sparkling pool, seductive cabanas and the distinctive grassy knoll featuring both hammocks for the day and a DJ stage for night. While other hotels might have conference centers and ballrooms, RUMOR will use its unbelievable large courtyard and pools for amazing parties, fashion shows, corporate buy-out events and provide the perfect spot for couples wanting weddings with a twist.

M Resort Spa Casino Receives 2010 Forbes Travel Guide Four Star Award

The M Resort Spa Casino, the newest resort to open in Las Vegas, was just announced as the recipient of the prestigious 2010 Forbes Travel Guide Four Star Award. Open just eight months, the $1 billion M Resort successfully opened on time and under budget on March 1, 2009.

“This is a true testament to the hard work of our team members. They have embraced our commitment to consistently provide the very best service, atmosphere and experience to our guests. To receive this award within our first year of operation is a huge accomplishment for us,” said Anthony A. Marnell III, Chairman and CEO, the M Resort.

The M Resort is the product of a collaboration between Anthony A. Marnell III, Chairman and CEO of the M Resort and his father, architect Tony Marnell, Chairman of Marnell Corrao Associates, the premier construction and development company responsible for notable projects throughout Las Vegas including Wynn, Treasure Island, the Mirage, Caesars Palace and the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.

Since 1976, the Marnell family name has been synonymous with architectural vision, quality and integrity. The Marnells set the standard for casino-resorts worldwide with the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, which became the benchmark for many innovations in Las Vegas and throughout the world that are still widely used today. The M Resort includes both architectural innovation as well as the Marnell brand of hospitality.

The 390 room boutique resort caters to both Las Vegas residents and out-of-town guests. It is the first property travelers from Southern California encounter when driving in to Las Vegas.

“Our resort is really a hybrid property catering to both locals and tourists; the atmosphere is a mix of Los Angeles, Scottsdale and New York – with a bit of Las Vegas thrown in. The M has a lot of offer and exceptional service is at the top of the list,” said Marnell.

Forbes Travel Guide, formerly Mobil Travel Guide, has defined the standard of excellence in hotel, restaurant and spa experiences since 1958. This year’s list includes distinguished properties in destinations throughout North America, as well as international ratings in Hong Kong, Macau and Beijing.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas Introduces Paradise Tower – Next Phase of $750 Million Expansion Opens Ahead Of Schedule Adding 490 Guest Rooms To Inventory And Creating Jobs

Opening July 31, Paradise Tower becomes the newest addition to Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The highly anticipated project, completed almost two months ahead of schedule, has created jobs and hope as the Las Vegas horizon begins to see signs of resurgence.

Just as Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is known in a sense for upping the game in Las Vegas, the new Paradise Tower steps up the Hard Rock’s game on the hotel side. The tower’s 490 lavish rooms were designed with the property’s signature party attitude in mind but with a jolt of sexy sophistication. Hotel devotees will notice a significantly more luxurious atmosphere in Paradise Tower, but without sacrificing the irreverent, anything-can-happen feeling that they’ve come to expect. Rooms evoke visions of a rock ‘n’ roll manor house, using iconic materials like leather, wood and silver studded velvet to enhance the sensory experience and emphasize that this is no standard hotel room. Designed by Mark Zeff, the rooms exude a chic playfulness with atmospheric touches that allow for optimal comfort and function by day, but then come alive at night.

Adding to the allure of Paradise Tower’s 18 floors are its Penthouse and 10 pool suites. The mega size Penthouse maxes out at 3,500 square feet with floor to ceiling windows throughout offering sweeping panoramic views. Arguably the best view yet in all of Las Vegas, the glittering Strip can be seen unobstructed from end to end while a turn in either direction provides expansive views of surrounding mountains. Get past the amazing views and the Penthouse interior is all wow-factor. Deep mahogany woods, platinum tiles, oversize hot tub, interactive digital pool table and not just a big screen, an entire video wall.

The pool suites, aptly named because they overlook and some offer direct access to Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s world famous Beach Club pool, each offer something entirely different. Predictably the most coveted real estate in the tower, the pool suites boast features such as two-level “duplexes”, doors that open to direct access to your own cabana or to the pool deck, or a spacious glass balcony that places you hovering over the best pool scene in town. Four of these mini jewels are Zeff-designed to follow the same guest room aesthetic but on a larger scale. The remaining six pool suites are the visions of local design talent Mark Tracy of Chemical Spaces. Tracy was given carte blanche to create six suite versions of the ultimate ultra lounge. Each suite has a life of its own, transporting the guest into another world of rock ‘n’ roll fantasy using giant hand painted graphic murals, bold colors, shimmering tiles and high gloss elements mixed with white hardwood floors.

“The Hard Rock is evolving,” said Phil Shalala, Hard Rock’s vice president of marketing, “It has really melded into the perfect property for the young affluent consumer that is into music, fashion, technology and lifestyle in general. It really stands for that perfect balance.”
