Live Entertainment, Beverage Specials and Autograph Signings Highlight 10-day Activities

MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, The Mirage, Monte Carlo, Excalibur and Circus Circus have partnered with Las Vegas Events and the Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) for the 2011 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (WNFR) (click link to book) Thursday, Dec. 1 – Saturday, Dec. 10.  The resorts will feature a variety of live entertainment, live nightly broadcasts as well as a number of autograph sessions prior to and following all 10 of the WNFR performances.

MGM GRAND

For the fourth consecutive year MGM Grand is ”Home of the Champions” as the resort hosts more than 25 cowboys throughout the 10 days of competition.  The resort will offer guests the opportunity to watch the telecast live each night inside the 740-seat Hollywood Theatre.  All WNFR fans in attendance will enjoy nightly contestant appearances, drink specials, door prizes and giveaways.

For the first time, MGM Grand is unveiling the greatest shopping experience in the city inside its Marquee Ballroom.  The 90,000-square-foot ballroom will feature more than 60 of the most popular rodeo brands including Wrangler, Cinch, Roper, Ariat, Justin, Resistol, Stetson, Tony Lama, Circle Y Saddles, Classic and Cactus, among others.  Also on-site will be tack equipment, rope making displays, fashion shows and an opportunity for one lucky fan to win a single horse trailer courtesy of Twister Trailer and NRS.

MANDALAY BAY
Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino has partnered with Group W Productions, the producers of the annual Cowboy Marketplace, and the United States Team Roping Championship, to create ”Cowboyville” for its Wrangler National Finals Rodeo guests.  Mandalay Bay will be one of the official host hotels and will be home to the Bullfighters and the U.S. Team Ropers.

The Mandalay Bay Convention Center East Parking Lot will anchor the expansive Cowboy Marketplace presented by Roper.  Cowboy Marketplace, a maximum Western shopping experience featuring hundreds of Western vendors, gives fans the opportunity to purchase anything from home goods to clothing.  Admission is complimentary.

A nightly live viewing party of the WNFR, hosted by trick roper Anthony Lucia, will be held inside the House of Blues Music Hall.  Lucia will offer commentary throughout the evening’s performance while promoting drink specials provided by Bud Light and Jack Daniel’s.

THE MIRAGE

The 6th Annual ”Rodeo Vegas” event inside The Mirage Race & Sports Book will include nightly live broadcasts of all of the Wrangler NFR action as well as prize drawings and giveaways from Bud Light, Crown Royal and Wrangler, among others, throughout the broadcasts.  As the Official Wrangler NFR After-Party of the PRCA, ”Rodeo Vegas” presents nightly live entertainment over the course of the 10-day WNFR competition.  Admission is complimentary through December 9.

MONTE CARLO

Monte Carlo will participate in the 2011 Wrangler NFR and offer fans the opportunity to view the nightly live broadcasts inside The Pub as well as the Race & Sports Book.  The resort, home to the Bareback Riders, will host an autograph session Thursday, Dec. 8 from noon – 2 p.m. featuring the 15 competitors.

The Pub at Monte Carlo will entertain fans with line-dancing lessons throughout the 10 days of WNFR performances.  Lessons will take place from 5:45-6:45 p.m., nightly with the exception of Sunday, Dec. 4 which will be held from 3-4 p.m.  The Pub will offer guests a happy hour from 3-6 p.m. Monday-Friday featuring $1 wings and sliders, 2-for-1 select domestic drafts and well drinks, as well as a Bud Light and a shot of Jack Daniel’s for $5.  An all-you-can-eat BBQ menu will be offered for only $15.95.

The Lounge at Excalibur along with Rock & Rita’s at Circus Circus will host nightly entertainment beginning at 9 p.m. with a variety of country music bands.  Crown Royal, Jack Daniel’s and Coors/Coors Light drink specials will be available at many of the bars and lounges at both Excalibur and Circus Circus throughout the 10 days of rodeo action.

The first ever Estate-authorized Michael Jackson Fan Fest™ will now offer visitors a more in-depth look into Michael Jackson’s life, featuring an opportunity to meet three of Michael Jackson’s brothers, Marlon, Jackie and Tito Jackson, for one day only. The three brothers will be at Fan Fest on Sunday, December 4, beginning at noon for an exclusive Q & A session for fans at the exhibition.

Scheduled for December 3-14 at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, Michael Jackson Fan Fest is designed to transport guests through the life of the mega-star, showcasing never before seen personal items and career memorabilia. The exhibition coincides with the kick off of the extended Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour stop in Las Vegas during December. Michael Jackson Fan Fest will only be in Las Vegas and will not travel to any other tour stop.

The intimate experience at Fan Fest extends even further beyond the memorabilia and will also feature an enlightening Q & A with Joseph Vogel, author of Man in the Music: The Creative Work and Life of Michael Jackson, on December 9 and 10. Back by popular demand, Cirque du Soleil (click link to book) presents the second annual CIRQUE WEEK, offering fans the experience of a lifetime with access to a 10-day series of exclusive events. Cirque du Soleil is known worldwide for its unique entertainment experiences featuring high flying acrobats, mystical characters and state-of-the-art technology. CIRQUE WEEK offers fans the opportunity to get an all-access look into how these extraordinary shows come to life nightly. CIRQUE WEEK packages range from $165 for a two-show ticket package to $561 which includes tickets to all seven Cirque du Soleil productions in Las Vegas.

All packages offer access to the exclusive CIRQUE WEEK events including:

”O” Artist Workshop at the ”O” Theatre – In a workshop given by select key characters in ”O,” attendees will learn how to mime, dance and clown their way across the ”O” stage. After the workshop, artists and coaches will host a Q&A session.

Custom Theater Technology Demonstration at The Beatles LOVE Theatre – Visit one of the most technically advanced theaters in Las Vegas – home of The Beatles LOVE – and listen to a state-of-the-art sound demonstration through more than 6,300 speakers. Additionally, the technical presentation will showcase the 11 lifts that make up the custom-built stage which features 360 degree seating.

Inside Cirque: An Exclusive Peek at the Business Side of the Show at the Zumanity Theatre – Cirque fans will get an in-depth look at the myriad of components that make Cirque de Soleil an international success through a unique discussion led by company President and CEO Daniel Lamarre, and a panel of key executives from various departments including Casting and Marketing.

Mystère Bungee Demonstration and Costume Q&A – Guests can enjoy an exclusive demonstration of the bungee act at Mystère and a chance to talk to the artists who take flight 10 times each week. There also will be colorful costumes on display and the Head of Wardrobe will be on hand to talk about the bungee costumes and the challenges of maintaining costumes for this very acrobatic show.

Go Behind the Scenes with Zumanity at the Zumanity Theatre – Guests will have the opportunity to sit through a live rehearsal of one of the show’s acts, followed by a Q&A session with the artists and crew in the gorgeous Zumanity Theatre.

Viva ELVIS Q&A at the Viva ELVIS Theatre – Guests can participate in a Q&A with the cast and crew of Viva ELVIS to learn what it takes to bring The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll to life nightly. With an onstage demonstration of the Jailhouse Rock set, attendees will see what it takes to move a three-story, 90,000-lb. set piece and learn how the artists perform upside down.

KÀ ”Battle 2011” Q&A at the KA Theatre – The finale of KÀ – the gravity-defying battle between good and evil – has been undergoing a major transformation for more than a year, preparing for the addition of new characters to the scene. Members of the cast, artistic and technical teams will discuss what it takes to make such a large change to the show after more than six years and 3,000 performances.

Meet & Greet with Criss Angel at the Criss Angel BELIEVE Theatre – Following the 9:30 p.m. performance of Criss Angel® BELIEVE™ on December 10, Magician of the Century Criss Angel will host an exclusive meet & greet for the first 100 CIRQUE WEEK guests. The Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (click link to book) is one of the largest and most revered annual rodeos in the country.  And once again, Boyd Gaming will be bringing the biggest names in rodeo and entertainment to its Las Vegas Valley properties during the 2011 WNFR, including the return of National Finals Tonight, and World Champion Bull Rider Gary Leffew’s Legendary Buck’n Ball at the Gold Coast Hotel and Casino.

For the fifth year, the award-winning National Finals Tonight program will be presented in the Gold Coast Hotel and Casino’s showroom. The program will run nightly beginning at 10:30 p.m. (6:30 p.m. on December 4) during WNFR. Admission is free and open to the public.

National Finals Tonight is a post-show wrap-up of each day’s rodeo events, featuring rodeo highlights and interviews with some of the most recognizable names in the world of professional rodeo. Eight-time World Champion and Hall of Fame Cowboy Don Gay, along with World Champion Tie-Down Roper and All-Around Cowboy Joe Beaver and TV personality Dan Miller, will host the program.

Scheduled special appearances include legendary rodeo announcers Bob Tallman and Boyd Polhamus. The world’s top cowboys and cowgirls will also stop by for interviews and audience Q & A sessions.

Attendees will also be eligible for nightly free drawings, including autographed Fender guitars from various country artists, including country music legend George Strait, obtained through the courtesy of Wrangler. One guitar will be given away during each of the 10 nights of the show.

For the second year, Gold Coast will also host World Champion Bull Rider Gary Leffew’s Legendary Buck’n Ball. This free nightly rodeo after party will be held in the Arizona Ballroom at the Gold Coast, featuring live music by Members of George Strait’s Ace in the Hole Band, as well as local favorite Scotty Alexander; dancing; a mechanical bull; and drink specials for attendees. Doors open nightly immediately following the NFR performance.
