BODIES. The Wellness Series Features “The Myths of Breast Cancer” In Honor Of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

For 25 years National Breast Cancer Awareness Month has helped spread awareness, education and empowerment for not only victims of the disease and their loved ones, but everyone who will listen in the hopes of prevention. On October 17, Dr. Lawrence Gardner of The Breast Center at Sunrise speaks on the myths of breast cancer in honor of this significant campaign for BODIES… The Wellness Series.

As part of the ongoing effort to be Las Vegas’ finest interactive and educational experience, BODIES… The Exhibition continues its course of health lectures, BODIES… The Wellness Series. The program resolves to inform the public of current health topics, giving guests the power of knowledge and prevention. The series takes place at the Exhibition on the Atrium Level of Luxor Hotel and Casino one Saturday a month at 9:30 a.m. For the exceptional price of $16, more than 50% off the regular ticket price, guests can enjoy the lecture and enter BODIES… The Exhibition 30 minutes prior to opening for a more private experience. Described as a “life-changing experience,” BODIES…The Exhibition is one of the most fascinating and educational experiences in Las Vegas. The real human bodies have been meticulously dissected, preserved through an innovative process and respectfully presented, giving visitors the opportunity to view the beauty and complexity of their own organs and systems like never before. In addition to providing an up-close look inside our skeletal, muscular, respiratory and circulatory systems, the Exhibition encourages healthy lifestyle choices. Authentic human specimens illustrate the damage caused to organs by smoking, over-eating and lack of exercise.

Regularly priced tickets are $31 for adults, $29 for seniors and $23 for children 4 – 12 years of age. The Exhibition is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. with last admission at 9 p.m. It is recommended that children 12 and under are accompanied by a teacher or parent as an adult guide.
