Newly crowned Miss USA, Alyssa Campanella, had a sweet ending to one of the biggest nights of her life at Sugar Factory inside Paris Las Vegas last night. The former Miss California stopped at the flagship location of Sugar Factory right after the competition and picked up treats such as Jelly Bellys, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, and chocolate-covered pretzels. Campanella, adorned in the Miss USA sash and glittering crown, was with her boyfriend, actor Torrance Coombs of Showtime’s ‘The Tudors,’ as spectators congratulated the gorgeous beauty queen and 2011 representative of the Miss Universe organization.

Condé Nast Traveler, the renowned luxury travel publication, recently recognized Qua Baths and Spa at Caesars Palace as one of the ‘Top 100 Resort Spas’ in the U.S. Mainland category in the June 2011 issue.

Results from the magazine’s 21st annual readers’ poll ranked the lavish Roman-inspired spa 53rd with an overall score of 91 out of 100. Strip House at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino participates in Northwest Cherries’ Tree-to-Table campaign by adding several items featuring Rainier cherries to the menu on Monday, July 11 – National Rainier Cherry Day.

Strip House is one of 50 restaurants around the country participating in the Tree-to-Table campaign.  Tree-to-Table pairs one restaurant from each state in the country with 30-pounds of Rainier cherries and tasks them with creating a dish that showcases the cherries.

Strip House Chef de Cuisine Dustin Rixey is serving up a special combination that highlights the delectably sweet nature of Rainier cherries.  A Rainier cherry amuse-bouche starts things off with a puree of watermelon flesh, Rainier cherries, key lime juice, lime zest, simple syrup and mint.  Double cut, grilled pork chops coated in a special Rainier cherry and roasted garlic glaze serve as a tempting entrée.  Accompanying the chops is a Rainier cherry chutney made with pitted cherries, caramelized garlic and shallots, red wine vinegar and fresh thyme.

Rí Rá Las Vegas inside the Shoppes at Mandalay Place is the go-to destination for fans looking to catch the action of the 2011 Women’s Soccer World Cup.

The popular Irish pub will broadcast World Cup games live from Germany in their entirety. The U.S. Women’s National Team is looking to return home with soccer’s greatest prize for the first time since their dramatic victory in 1999. Since then, the world’s top-ranked women’s team has finished in third place at the past two World Cup championships.
