Kicking off during the scorching summer months, the Liberace Foundation & Museum is offering a discounted admission rate to beat the heat. Beginning Monday, June 21 and running to Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 6, admission for adults is $10, while seniors and students may enter for $8.
For $12, guests may take advantage of the “Movie at the Museum” lunch special on Mondays and Fridays, which includes the designated movie for the day, a sandwich, chips, drink and dessert. Guests may enjoy the movie and a snack for $7 or the movie alone for $5.
The Liberace Foundation & Museum is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Discounted admission prices are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors 65 and older and students with a valid school ID. Children age 12 and under are admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult. Veteran hospitality developer, Eric DeBlasi of The Medusa Group, debuts a new concept in Las Vegas. Lolita’s Cantina & Tequila Bar, an 11,500 square foot restaurant and nightclub, set to open July 9, 2010 at Town Square, is the company’s first foray in the Las Vegas market.

Eric DeBlasi got his start in the hospitality and nightlife industry at the age of 22. A real estate developer by trade, he purchased a building in California that housed a nightclub and restaurant. DeBlasi built a team of savvy industry experts and after running both venues, fell in love with the hospitality industry. Now, more than 20 years later, Eric DeBlasi has become one of the most prominent hospitality developers on the West Coast. Marrying his background in real estate with his love for the hospitality and nightlife industries, DeBlasi has owned more than 35 high-end restaurants, nightclubs and hotels across the United States, making him one of the most prolific single hospitality owners in the country.

PGA TOUR winner, University of Nevada Las Vegas alum and Las Vegas resident Charley Hoffman is excited to announce the Charley Hoffman Foundation Pro-Am on Monday Oct. 18, 2010. The event will be played at TPC Summerlin, the host course of the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, an Official PGA TOUR Event.
Hoffman and his wife Stacy created the Foundation in 2009 to raise awareness and financial support for a variety of children’s charities in their native San Diego as well as their adopted hometown of Las Vegas. The inaugural Charley Hoffman Foundation Pro-Am was held in February 2010 in San Diego and helped raise more than $100,000 for the San Diego Junior Golf Association (SDJGA). This will be Hoffman’s First Pro-Am event in Las Vegas and will benefit the following Las Vegas charities: Blessings in a Backpack, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Goodie Two Shoes Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Las Vegas, as well as the Transportation Fund of the local Zelzah Shrine Temple.
Participants of the Pro-Am will enjoy the unique opportunity to play a round of golf inside the ropes of an official PGA TOUR tournament course alongside a professional PGA TOUR player. The modified shamble will start at 1 p.m. after Hoffman provides a clinic, divulging the secrets of his great golf game. Concluding play, participating amateurs and professionals will honor winners at a reception on The Hill, the tournament’s entertainment pavilion, overlooking the 18th hole of TPC Summerlin.

Bringing a new and dynamic style of improv comedy to the stage, Matt Donnelly’s Executive Monkeys is sure to deliver big laughs to The Lounge every Wednesday featuring a weekly celebrity guest beginning June 30, 2010 at 9:00 p.m.
The show, which will run through the month of July, features some of the most supreme improv comedians hailing from Upright Citizens Brigade, Second City, Improv Olympic, Peoples Improv Theatre and Improv Vegas performing a two-act 70-80 minute show.
Unlike any other show in Vegas, the first set calls upon audience participation, encouraging the audience to use social media outlet Twitter via their cellular phones as the performers create characters and sketches based on the pictures and words from the tweeting audience. The suggestions are tweeted and are broadcast to an on stage screen to keep the audience up to speed.
The second act offers a comedic tarot reading of a celebrity guest that will result in an outpour of spontaneous sketches created around the reading. On June 30, celebrity guest will be actress, professional poker player and all-around hottie, Shannon Elizabeth.

Matt Donnelly began improvising at the age of 15 in his hometown of Red Bank, N.J. in a show called Improv Jam. Since then, he has enjoyed a rich life as an improv comic performing with seminal improve groups in New York City since 1996 and traveling around the world. Most recently, Matt finished a run with Wayne Brady’s “Making $#!t Up” at The Venetian. Before moving to Las Vegas, he was performing and teaching in New York City with the Upright Citizens’ Brigade before really making a name for himself at the Peoples Improv Theatre in Manhattan.
