Blue Man Group joins Pat Sajack and Vanna White for a special Las Vegas-themed “Wheel of Fortune” show on Monday, Feb. 8 (check local listings).

Described as “visually stunning,” “wildly inventive,” and hysterically funny,” Blue Man Group brings its critically acclaimed antics to the set of “Wheel of Fortune.” The one-of-a-kind blue-faced trio will be on hand to entertain the crowd, as well as hosts Sajack and White, giving the audience a look into the exciting and euphoric experience only found at Blue Man Group’s Venetian show.

The City of Henderson will host the 44th annual Sons of Erin St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival, March 11-14 in the Henderson Events Plaza, 200 S. Water Street, in the Water Street District. The family-friendly event will include a parade, carnival with games and rides, live entertainment, car show and more. Admission is free. Some activities may require paid admission.

The parade will be held Saturday, March 13 at 10 a.m. Over 100 parade entries including festive floats, Celtic dancers, bagpipers and marching bands will travel the mile-long route on Water Street, beginning at Ocean Avenue and ending at Victory Road. This year’s theme is “Rainbow & Pot of Gold.”

“The Sons of Erin are proud to continue its partnership with the City of Henderson,” said Jim Ermi, President of the Southern Nevada Sons of Erin. “Last year’s event drew over 50,000 attendees and we are looking forward to increasing these numbers as our festival and parade gets bigger and better every year.”

A portion of the proceeds from this year’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival will benefit the St. Rose Foundation, an organization raising funds for St. Rose Hospital, a not-for-profit community hospital, to enhance services and technology to support the healthcare professionals in providing the best care for the patients.

Friday and Saturday nights at Tacos & Tequila (T&T) just got even hotter with the spiciest party under the sombrero. T&T’s Spicy Weekend Fiesta, hosted by the Sexy Elissa, is a delicious and exciting way to liven up the weekend with irresistible Mexican food, mouth-watering handmade cocktails, and of course, enough tequila shots to go around.

Former Las Vegas mobster and hit man Frank Cullotta will present the Mob Chronicles in the Stratosphere Theater of the Stars on Thursday, February 18th at 7:30 p.m. This one-time charity event will benefit Opportunity Village.

After eight years of prison and 20 years of witness protection, Cullotta is going public with his speaking tour, Mob Chronicles, about the history of organized crime and his unique insights into the mob life. Joining him will be various members of law enforcement who worked for years in attempts to indict Cullotta. During the show, audience members will have the opportunity to interact with Cullotta as well as former Las Vegas Metro detectives and FBI agents that investigated the actual crimes.

Cullotta served as a key player in Tony Spilotro’s infamous Hole in the Wall Gang that ruled the Las Vegas underworld in the 1960s and ’70s. While Cullotta admits to two mob hits, he is rumored to be responsible for many more, including the “M&M Murders” in 1962. After his arrest on burglary charges in 1981 and fearing for his own life, he turned government witness and testified before the President’s Commission on Organized Crime, resulting in the convictions of several of his former associates. The mob attempted to post Cullotta’s bail so they could carry out his hit, but police revoked the bail to protect him.

In the Martin Scorsese film Casino, loosely based on characters like Spilotro’s gang, Cullotta served as technical advisor and played a small role as one of the henchmen. In 2007, he co-authored his biography, “Cullotta – The Life of a Chicago Criminal, Las Vegas Mobster and Government Witness.”

Additionally, after the presentation, Frank Cullotta will host an intimate VIP Godfather Dinner for only 10 guests at Stratosphere’s Fellini’s Ristorante. Opportunity Village is a not-for-profit organization that serves more than 1,300 people with intellectual disabilities on a daily basis to enhance their lives and the lives of their families through job training, employment opportunities, art enrichment, recreation and advocacy. All the action of extreme sports and killer music comes back once again with the 2010 Extreme Thing Sports & Music Festival. Powered by Clark County Parks and Recreation, this all-ages event will get folks revved up for Nevada’s premier action sports and music festival, featuring great music, BMX dirt jumping, professional wrestling, roller derby and more. Extreme Thing is set for Saturday, March 27 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at Desert Breeze Skate Park, 8275 Spring Mountain Road at Durango Drive. Tickets go on sale Saturday, Jan. 23, and are $17 for GA or $35 for a combo package, which includes a GA ticket, event t-shirt and commemorative event poster in advance or $20 at the door.

As always, Extreme Thing features great bands for folks of all ages and this year’s lineup includes The Used, Escape the Fate, Winds of Plague, Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish, Story of the Year, The Cab, Never Shout Never, The Higher, Hey Monday, Every Avenue, The Summer Set with more to be released. Waverly’s Steakhouse will offer a special four-course Valentine’s Day menu for $35.00 per person that includes a free glass of red or white house wine or champagne with all entrées.

The first course appetizer will be Fried Oysters featuring lightly breaded oysters with a ginger wasabe beurre blanc. The second course will be a Strawberry Spinach Salad featuring tender baby spinach with sliced fresh strawberries, spiced pecans, mushrooms, red onions and sweet poppy seed dressing. The main course will consist of Beef and Lobster Napoleon featuring beef tenderloin medallions layered with spinach and lobster topped with a lemon hollandaise, or Crab Stuffed Chicken featuring avocado and lump crab stuffed chicken breast served with a crab cream sauce.
