While Lance Burton’s “Master Magician” show runs Tuesday thru Saturday, Craig Ferguson will be doing his standup comedy at the Hollywood Theater in the MGM Grand Hotel from Feb. 19-27. Lance Burton appeared on his show on Feb. 2 and don’t be surprised if it re-airs while Ferguson is in Las Vegas doing his schtick.

Dave Matthews Band returns with its first studio album in four years and a 2009 spring tour, which will include a stop at the MGM Grand Garden Arena for performances Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9. Fans will experience the group’s first-ever live performances of songs from the new album. The concerts are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. with special guest Jason Mraz.

The band’s yet-to-be-titled album is being produced by Rob Cavallo (Green Day, My Chemical Romance) and will be released by RCA Records. The record is the follow-up to the 2005 album Stand Up, the fourth consecutive Dave Matthews Band studio album to enter the Billboard 200 chart at No. 1. Formed in Virginia in the early 1990s, Dave Matthews Band has sold a collective 35 million units (CD and DVD combined). With more than 15 million concert tickets sold, the group has been named the top-drawing American band in the world by Billboard.

Dave Matthews Band consists of Carter Beauford (drums), Stefan Lessard (bass), Dave Matthews (vocals, guitar) and Boyd Tinsley (violin). Saxophonist LeRoi Moore, the fifth original founding member, passed away during the band’s summer 2008 tour. Joining the group on the road this spring will be Tim Reynolds on guitar, Rashawn Ross on trumpet and Jeff Coffin on saxophone. They also are featured on the new album.

The legendary rock band Fleetwood Mac has added 29 shows to its upcoming Greatest Hits “Unleashed” tour in April and May. The added tour dates come on the heels of the first leg of dates announced in December, which have nearly sold out. The “Unleashed” tour will make a stop in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena Saturday, May 30. The concert is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.

The “Unleashed” tour, beginning on March 1 in Pittsburgh, will travel cross-country featuring 44 shows in major markets. The tour will include all of the bands’ greatest hits from the course of its extraordinary career. Fleetwood Mac, the multi-Grammy winning, multi-platinum Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees is back on the road for the first time in five years following several successful solo projects.

“We love our band and think the title of the tour “Unleashed” perfectly describes how we all feel when we get on stage together, especially in 2009. We’re so happy to get back out on the road, perform everyone’s favorite songs and see our fans,” said the band.

In other Fleetwood Mac news, the iconographic Rumours album (certified Diamond® signifying sales of more than 10 million units by the RIAA) is scheduled to be re-released as part of a special CD/DVD boxed set on Reprise Records. The boxed set will include several songs from the Rumours album, in their original demo form, along with unreleased tracks recorded during that time period and never-before-seen DVD footage of the band from that era.

Orleans Arena will get into the groove on February 14 at 7:30 p.m. when it welcomes Zapp, Rose Royce, Tierra and six other legendary 70′s and 80′s bands during KLUC’s 3rd Annual Valentine’s Love Affair.

Formed in 1978 and perhaps best known for its 1980 R&B hit “More Bounce to the Ounce,” Zapp was a source of inspiration to West Coast hip-hop and G-funk. The group’s signature hand-clapped, drum-beat-styled funk and use of the talk box led to its success and hits such as “Computer Love,” “Slow and Easy” and “Doo Wa Ditty.”

Rose Royce is a Grammy Award-winning soul, funk and disco band known for “Car Wash,” “Wishing On A Star” and “I Wanna Get Next to You.” Audiences also know the music of Rose Royce from its use in television shows and motion pictures, including “The Simpsons,” “The Mod Squad,” “Money Talks” and “Airplane.”

Tierra combined rock, pop, jazz, R&B and salsa to become the first Latino band to have four songs on the national chart and two simultaneously in the Top 100. Named “Best R&B Vocal Group” by four leading magazines, including Billboard, Tierra’s Latin R&B sound is heard throughout classics such as “Together,” “Gonna Find Her” and “Zoot Suit Boogie.”

Six additional celebrated acts will share the R&B, soul, funk, disco and pop spotlight on February 14, including Sunny & The Sunliners; JoJo, original lead singer of the Mary Jane Girls; The Temprees; Honey Cone; The Fuzz and William DeVaughn.
