DJ Jazzy Jeff spins at Risqué for 10 city New Years Nation party

New Years Eve revelers along the Las Vegas Strip can witness motocross star Robbie “Maddo” Maddison as he once again attempts a jump like no other.  Maddison, a 27-year-old Aussie will jump his bike more than 120 feet high and land on the top of the 97-foot-high and 40-foot-deep replica Arc de Triomphe in front of Paris Las Vegas. Upon completing the jump, he will then drop off the Arc and freefall 50 feet to a massive landing ramp below. This follows his 322-foot jump last New Year’s Eve, breaking the Guinness Book of World Records.

Maddison’s jump is the finale stunt on ESPN’s one-hour special, “Red Bull: New Year. No Limits.” The  stunt spectacular will be televised live on ESPN/ESPN HD immediately following the Chick-Fil-A Bowl (approx. 11:00 p.m. ET / 8:00 p.m. PT). The show will also be simulcast live on ESPN360.com.

Local favorite, Wayne Brady, has captured the hearts of Las Vegas audiences with his one-of-a-kind show, Making It Up, and now Brady has caught the attention of the Recording Academy and has been nominated for a GRAMMY.

Brady released his debut album, A Long Time Coming, in September and is now vying for Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance for his soulful rendition of “A Change Is Gonna Come” by Sam Cooke.

Cannery Casino & Hotel will celebrate the King’s life Friday, January 9 and Saturday, January 10 with special performances by Johnny Fortuno, The Stamps Quartet as well as other special guests, friends and co-stars of Elvis Presley. Critics and celebrities have praised Fortuno as one of the top Elvis Presley tribute artists. One of Elvis’ musical influences came from the Gospel music he heard in church and at the all-night Gospel gatherings. The half-hour program will delve into the lives of the hottest “Fuego” cast members, capturing adrenaline-packed performances and behind-the-scenes drama, gossip, rivalries and love triangles, revealing the fabulous life of being an entertainer on the Las Vegas Strip. “Fuego en Vegas” is created and directed by ND and produced and hosted by Latino star, actor Rene Lavan.

“Fuego Raw Talent,” tells the story of a virtual world where humans are enslaved to technology. The intricate plot transports audience members into a dreamlike fantasy world where the click of a laptop makes anything is possible. Highly trained dancers and singers execute raw, interactive, adrenaline-packed performances, combining elements of a live percussion band fused with surreal characters, elaborate costumes and high-tech digital imaging for a bilingual experience unlike any other on the Las Vegas Strip.

Viva Vision®, the LED display canopy rising 90 feet in height and stretching 1,500 feet along the Fremont Street Experience promenade from Main Street to Fourth Street, forms a spectacular foyer for the existing resorts. Stretching the length of five football fields, Viva Vision serves as the showcase for the world’s largest graphic display system.
